Victor Adriel de Jesus Oliveira is a human-computer interaction researcher and works as junior researcher at the Institute of Creative Media Technologies at St. Poelten University of Applied Sciences, since 2018.


From 2015 to 2016, he worked as a Fellow PhD at the Robotics Brain and Cognitive Sciences Group at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia - Genova, under the supervision of Luca Brayda, PhD. He graduated in Computer Science at Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz in 2012. He also holds a MSc (since 2014) and a PhD in Computer Science (since 2018, "Cum Laude Distinction") from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, were he was supervised by Anderson Maciel, PhD. Victor Adriel de Jesus Oliveira works mainly in the field of Human-Computer Interaction, especially on Haptic Interaction, Tactile Communication, and Accessibility for Web interfaces. He has experience developing Web systems, conducted activities as an interpreter of Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS), designed several wearable device prototypes and user studies to investigate the use of vibrotactile stimuli as channel for communication in physical and virtual/augmented environments.
