Kerstin Blumenstein is a researcher at the Institute of Creative\Media/Technologies (IC\M/T) at St. Poelten University of Applied Sciences.

In 2012 Kerstin Blumenstein passed the master class Mobile Internet of the master degree program Digital Media Technologies at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences with distinction. Before studying she worked for six years as a media designer (camerawoman and editor) for a German television station.
During her academic studies she worked at c-tv (television station of St. Pölten UAS) and at the Institute of Media Informatics. In addition she was involved in projects like WUP (interactive visual projection on a building’s façade with mobile phones) for ARS Electronica Festival 2009 and Mobilot (framework for developing mobile context sensitive information systems).
Currently she is working as Researcher at the Institute of Creative\Media/Technologies at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences. Her research field is the Mobile Internet.
Her personal field of ​​interest is in the area of second screen applications. This subject is also the topic for her phd studies „Interactive Mobile Data Visualization for Second Screen“.
In addition to her research activities, she teaches (mobile) (web) development in bachelor and master degree courses at the St. Pölten UAS.
